It is our huge pleasure to introduce you to our Architectural and Urban Designers James and Jeremy
Over the past year we have had the pleasure of meeting and working with James & Jeremy, founding directors of UrbanPlaceNetwork (UPN). UPN has been supporting LoopLiv in the evolution of our approach to create amazing places, our place offer to future guests and our growing portfolio of Loopliv residences/retreats/destinations….
Who are UPN?
UPN was founded by Jeremy Salmon (RIBA Architect) and James Rayner (MRTPI Planner) who are expert city, district & place design professionals each with over 30 years global development experience. James and Jeremy were Board Directors of international design practice Broadway Malyan (BM), having led the practices international growth over the last 25 years, and in doing so, having worked and lived with their families in various locations ranging from China, Hong Kong, Spain, Mexico and the Middle East.
In the UK Jeremy and James established UPN to follow their interest in collaborative, agile working and crafting development solutions to address big shifts in societal need and our collective environmental challenges – demographic trends, climate change, sustainability and community led enterprise. James and Jeremy’s consultancy work reflects their interest in making positive change whether this be in their work supporting community endeavours such as with Escape2Make, a UK based youth charity (www.escape2make.org), to new award winning urban greening ideas for Cities, to global advisory for the World Bank, to strategic leadership and conception of the new alliance based global collaborative OKANA, to thought leadership and collaborative insight sharing through their leadership of urbanOvation’s ‘Future Places Forum’.
Both James and Jeremy are deeply interested in shaping a better future and are highly aware of societal aging, extending longevity and the need to develop new aging well lifestyle solutions to meet these changes. This likeminded interest is a natural fit with Loopliv’s work and vision. Jeremy and James are helping LoopLiv to evolve our response to creating Loopliv places, being part of a local community, the look, feel and function of built-form and landscape, the experiences and wellness they generate. In parallel, interrogating urban and architectural opportunities presented by new sites and locations, and helping us make sure we select those places with the best match to LoopLiv’s aspirations for creating amazing authentic lifestyle opportunities for our guests.
